Clear Aligners
Initial Consultation: During your first visit, we will evaluate your teeth, your bite and discuss your treatment goals. We spend a lot of time understanding you, and making sure we can deliver a result you are happy with. We take case records to start the journey, this includes taking photographs and a 3D digital scan of your teeth.
Custom Treatment Plan: We review your digital scan and plan the exact movements of your teeth throughout the treatment. Once we are happy with the result and feel it is the most effective plan, we will arrange to review it with you. You will be able to see a virtual simulation of how your teeth will move and the anticipated final result.
Alignment: A series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth. Each set of aligners is worn for a specified time period, gently moving your teeth into the next stage of alignment.
Wearing Aligners: Aligners should be worn for 20-22 hours a day, only being removed for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing.
Progress Checks: Regular checks with your dentist ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. Adjustments to your aligners or treatment plan can be made if necessary to achieve the best outcome.
Discrete Appearance: Clear aligners are almost invisible, making them a preferred choice for individuals who want to straighten their teeth without the noticeable appearance of metal braces. This is especially appealing for adults and teenagers who may feel self-conscious about wearing braces.
Comfort : Made from smooth plastic, clear aligners are designed to fit comfortably over your teeth without causing irritation to your gums or cheeks, unlike metal braces which can have sharp edges and protruding wires.
Ease of Cleaning: Since clear aligners are removable, maintaining oral hygiene is easier. You can brush and floss your teeth as usual, reducing the risk of problems that can occur.
Flexibility : You can remove the aligners for special occasions, meals, and photographs, providing flexibility that is not possible with fixed braces.
Diet : Clear aligners allow you to enjoy your favourite foods without restrictions since you remove them before eating and drinking. It will encourage you to snack less as you won't want to remove them that frequently.
Advanced Planning: The treatment with clear aligners is meticulously planned using advanced 3D imaging technology, which allows you to see a virtual representation of your teeth's movement throughout the treatment process. This predictability can enhance your confidence in the outcome.
Clear aligners provide a modern, effective, and convenient solution for achieving a beautifully aligned smile without the drawbacks of traditional metal braces. If you are considering orthodontic treatment, clear aligners might be the perfect choice to fit your lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. Book a consultation or ask our team for more information.
