He has enjoyed a varied and successful career to date, which started when he completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sheffield, graduating with honours and receiving a distinction. Since graduating, he has worked in multiple award-winning practices throughout the UK and spent a year at Birmingham Dental Hospital, working in the oral surgery and restorative departments providing specialist-level, consultant-led care. Over the last few years, Laurie has been shortlisted and a finalist in multiple dental awards; The Dentistry Awards, The Clinical Case Awards, Future of Dentistry Awards, Private Dentistry Awards to name a few highlighting his passion and credibility within the field of dentistry. Laurie has had the opportunity to present in front of world-renowned dental organisations, including the International Team for Implantology and leading experts in restorative dentistry, oral medicine and oral surgery. He also has a passion for teaching, having taught undergraduate dental students at Birmingham Dental School and postgraduate students in Dental Laser, Restorative and Implant Dentistry.

Being a proficient General Dentist with a keen interest in digital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and implantology/oral surgery, he has built a reputation for being a ‘go-to’ clinician in the area. Having completed further training in holistic and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and sedation, he provides a wide array of advanced treatments. This is evidenced by a certificate in contemporary restorative and aesthetic dentistry, a two-year postgraduate diploma, and a year-long certificate in implantology. He also holds a certificate in intravenous sedation from Birmingham Dental Hospital. He is an experienced tooth straightening provider, providing an array of aligner treatments including Invisalign Go, Invisalign Comprehensive, Spark Aligners, and ClearCorrect. He offers the full complement of restorative procedures to a very high level as a general dentist. Additionally, he has completed his Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons (MJDF RCS). He has a particular interest in the management of patients with dental anxiety and the provision of IV sedation to deliver aesthetic, functional, and holistic dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Laurie is a keen sports person who enjoys a variety of team sports and can be found exploring the great outdoors with family and friends – either on his bike or a pair of skis! He is also a car and travel enthusiast; don’t talk to him on either topic unless you want him running late!
